Discover Lonesome Rock

Set at the northwestern edge of the Willamette Valley, Lonesome Rock is an organically farmed, single-vineyard estate where every tasting is personally hosted by the owners, Danny and Susan Klieman. Drawing on Danny's experience working in the vineyards and cellars of Burgundy, guests gather on the veranda overlooking the vineyard and the Coast Range to explore five wines—from current releases to limited-production bottlings—poured where they were grown by the people who farm the vineyard and shape each vintage.

We welcome guests daily at 11:00 am, 1:00 pm, and 3:00 pm by appointment.

Your tasting includes:

A private, seated tasting hosted by Danny and Susan
Approximately 90 minutes
Five wines, including current releases and limited-production bottlings
$30 tasting fee per person
- One tasting fee waived with the purchase of three bottles
- Two tasting fees waived when signing up as a member

A Site That Shapes the Wines

Every Lonesome Rock wine begins in a single vineyard at the northwestern edge of the Willamette Valley. The site is defined by volcanic soils, cool coastal winds, high elevation, and an unusually extended growing season that allows the fruit to ripen slowly while preserving freshness, structure, and balance.

Those conditions shape every vintage, producing Pinot Noir of depth and layered aromatics and Chardonnay with energy, precision, and mineral-driven length.

Estate-Grown Pinot Noir & Chardonnay

Pinot Noir and Chardonnay form the foundation of our portfolio, expressing the character of our high-elevation vineyard through each vintage.

Guests will also discover our small-production Aligoté, produced in Burgundy from the first vineyard we ever worked on—a lasting connection to the place where our winemaking journey began.
