Join us for a private tasting high above the Willamette Valley, where the wines in your glass are grown just steps from where you taste them.

Ten minutes west of downtown Carlton, Oregon, our tasting house sits at the top of our vineyard hillside, surrounded by forest and sweeping views of the Coast Range.

Each tasting includes five wines, offering a look across our current releases and selections from the cellar, including estate-grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, along with an Aligoté we produce in Burgundy, France.

Visits are by appointment, conversational, and immersive. When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by us personally — because sharing this place is at the heart of what we do. We speak openly about farming decisions, vintage challenges, cellar choices, and the realities of building a small estate winery. Questions are always welcome, and curiosity is encouraged.

Tasting Fee: $30 per person, collected the day of your visit

One fee waived ($30) with each three-bottle purchase
Two fees waived ($60) with membership signup

We host tastings at our working vineyard and cannot accommodate walk-ins. Please call or text 847-308-9019 for same-day availability or if your preferred date or time is unavailable. We will do our best to accommodate you.

The People & Place Behind Our Wine Tastings

Every tasting at Lonesome Rock Cellars is hosted by Danny and Susan Klieman, whose path to this vineyard was shaped by years of learning, including time spent working in the vineyards and cellars of Burgundy, France. They welcome guests with a thoughtful exploration of the their wines and land, sharing how this hillside became the place where their long search for just the right piece of vineyard land finally came to rest.
