Willamette Valley Pinot Noir & Chardonnay
Estate-grown, single vineyard, organically farmed wines.
Our distinctive Willamette Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are grown at our estate vineyard, nestled in the far reaches of the region, where a unique microclimate shapes their character. At Lonesome Rock, cool temperatures and high elevation allow our fruit to ripen slowly yet fully, developing exceptional depth while preserving electric acidity and the potential for rare ageability.
The 2023 Estate Pinot Noir is the love child of our 2021 and 2022 vintages—capturing the best of both in a seamless, expressive, and utterly captivating wine. With striking aromatic purity, this Willamette Valley Pinot Noir bursts from the glass with a core of black cherry, red plum, blood orange, and violets, accented by a touch of root beer spice. The palate is a masterful balance of concentration and ripeness, lifted by a racy freshness that keeps it lively and precise. Silky, powder-fine tannins weave seamlessly into the wine’s open-knit, supple texture, making this vintage irresistibly drinkable from the start.
A bold nose of spicy pear skin and ripe white peach unfolds gracefully, revealing layers of toasted hazelnuts and delicate vanilla bean. Subtle oak lingers in the background, adding depth, richness, and a touch of creamy elegance. This Willamette Valley Chardonnay hums with vibrant, laser-focused energy, finishing with a striking mineral edge and a crisp, rain-on-rock vivacity.
A special cuvée of select barrels and extended aging, this is the inaugural vintage of our Lonesome Rock The Estate "Rows of Sharon" Pinot Noir.
From six exotically fruited and spiced barrels, this wine exudes the freshness of a wild forest strawberry and Lonesome Rock blackberry cream. Feral, savage undertones, a muscular and concentrated texture and ripe, velvety tannins.
Bringing together the unique clonal mix, soil types, and exposures that tell the story of each vintage, “The Estate” is the blend that expresses the unique soul of the Lonesome Rock Vineyard. Fresh and precise with violet, lavender, and black cherry aromas, this is a hedonistically fruited wine with a texture that unfolds with air and time in your glass. A long and penetrating finish will allow the '22 Lonesome Rock to drink well for a decade. Rewards decanting.
